French with Flo – Brand Identity & Squarespace Website Design

Flo already had a DIY website on Wix but wasn’t happy with the look, flow, or lack of identity. She wanted a cohesive brand and a simple, professional Squarespace website that could act as a shopfront for her lessons. With students ranging from school-age children to adults, she needed something approachable, clear, and easy to update herself.

I wanted to create a brand identity that captured Flo’s personality and passion for teaching French while making the experience friendly and professional for her students. My approach balanced playful, illustrative elements with a clean website structure that was easy for her to manage independently.

• Brand identity: Designed a playful, hand-drawn wordmark with brushstroke accent marks to represent the accents of the French language. The colour palette reimagined the French flag with a quirky twist to add warmth and fun.

• Typography & assets: Selected accessible Google Fonts and created illustrative accent graphics to give the brand a flexible, distinctive feel.

• Squarespace website: Designed and built a multi-page site (Home, About, Services, Testimonials) that felt cohesive and approachable while being easy for Flo to update.

• Guidance: Walked Flo through the Squarespace platform, giving her the confidence to manage her own site long after launch.

Flo’s new brand and website gave her the professional, welcoming presence she needed to promote her online French lessons. The design felt fun yet credible, helping her stand out in a competitive space. Since launch, Flo has confidently shared her website and continues to update it herself as her services evolve.
